Xbox360 vs Playstation 3
The Xbox360 and Playstation 3 have been in fierce competition ever since they were released. Most people are loyal to either one system or the other based on their experiences with the original Xbox and the Playstation 1 and Playstation 2. Some people even like to have both systems.
It can be argued that one system has better games than the other but with these two high end consoles, there is a pretty even spread of games. Both consoles have a good range of RPG, First person shooter, Adventure, Racing and Sports games. There are flagship games on each console such as Halo on xbox360 and Gran Turismo on the ps3 but overall there is not a lot to separate them in terms of game diversity.
In reviewing the xbox360 vs ps3 competition we find they both have exceptional graphics. The 360 may edge ahead a little in terms of hard drive capacity and flexibility but many enthusiasts believe the ps3 has the greater graphical output. This point is very much debatable though!
Currently the ps3 is more expensive than the xbox360 however in 2008 both will become more affordable as prices drop and the companies work on the next generation of consoles.
To get the most out of either console you will want a good high definition television and ideally a surround sound speaker set up.
